On July 5, 2024, a solemn ceremony marked the inauguration of the new consulate of the Democratic Republic of Congo in Novi Sad. The event took place at the Matice Srpske Gallery in the presence of ambassador SEM Joseph Kalala Mulumba, numerous local personalities, including the city’s vice-governor, and the Congolese community. The occasion also marked the start of Mrs. Radmila Bašević’s term of office as Honorary Consul. Madame Bašević underlined her commitment to strengthening economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
