On July 5, 2024, a solemn ceremony marked the inauguration of the new Consulate of the Democratic Republic of Congo in Novi Sad. The event took place in the Matice Srpske Gallery under the chairmanship of H.E. Mr. Joseph Kalala Mulumba, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo, in the presence of numerous local personalities, including the representative of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vice-Governor of the city of Novi Sad. The opening marked the start of Mrs. Radmila Bašević’s term of office as Honorary Consul. Mrs. Bašević underlined her commitment to strengthening economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
