IMPORTANT NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC!
NEW VISA REQUIREMENTS
The Embassy informs the public that from now on ALL visa applications will be processed in at least 10 working days, pending FAVOURABLE OPINION from Kinshasa. Applicants are requested to submit ALL required and compliant documents, as no fees are refundable.
Once you have decided on the date of your trip, please make an appointment or contact the Embassy on tel. no. + 381 11 344 64 31, Monday to Friday from 11.00 hrs to 14.00 hrs. The visa application and passport delivery are carried out at the same times.
The visa application must be accompanied by the originals of all the required documents and photocopies (see Visa Application Form, attached).
The list of required documents is not exhaustive. The Chancellor may request additional documents.
The processing fee for the visa application is payable in euros; a photocopy of the receipt is given to the applicant when the visa is applied for. The original receipt is given to the applicant when the passport is handed in. If the application is rejected, the fee will not be refunded.
DOCUMENTS TO BE PRODUCED WHEN APPLYING FOR A VISA
A. VISA FOR TEMPORARY STAY – TRAVEL VISA
1 – BUSINESS TRIP – MAXIMUM 6 (SIX) MONTHS
- Valid passport (at least six months) + photocopies of pages containing personal details;
- 1 duly completed and signed form;
- 1 photo, passport size;
- Letter of invitation or guarantee issued by the legal or natural person in the DRC inviting the applicant.
- The guarantee must be duly legalised by the DRC authorities;
- 1 Copy of the undertaking to take charge (Document to be completed and signed at the DGM by the inviting natural or legal person)
- Return ticket (to be presented) or travel agency certificate;
- International vaccination card (vaccination against yellow fever is compulsory);
- Photocopy of identity card.
2 – FAMILY VISIT
The applicant must provide the same documents as those required for a business visa.
The letter of invitation must be issued by the employer of the family member working in the DRC; it must be duly signed and legalised.
For minors accompanying their parents, the parents’ authorisation is compulsory; it must be duly signed and authenticated.
B. TOURIST VISA
- Valid passport (at least six (/6) months) + photocopies of pages containing personal details ;
- 1 Form duly completed and signed ;
- 1 passport photo;
- Letter of invitation or guarantee issued by the legal or natural person inviting the applicant to the DRC;
- The guarantee must be duly legalised by the DRC authorities);
- 1 Copy of the undertaking to take charge (Document to be completed and signed at the DGM by the inviting natural or legal person)
- Return ticket (to be presented) or travel agency certificate;
- International vaccination card (vaccination against yellow fever is compulsory);
- Photocopy of identity card.
- Proof of hotel reservation (guarantee of accommodation);
- Proof of means of subsistence (traveller’s cheque, bank statement and other proof – to be produced at the Embassy);
- For minors accompanying their parents, duly signed and legalised authorisation from the parents is compulsory.
C.TRANSIT VISA
The conditions are those contained in the Visa Application Form. Please note that a travel visa for the country of last destination is compulsory.

Visa application forms must be completed in French, English or Serbian.
If the form is incorrectly completed, incomplete or contains information inconsistent with that in the passport, your application will be rejected.
