Belgrade, Serbia, March 28th 2024 – As part of the Francophonie month festivities in Belgrade, the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo organized an exceptional evening featuring the talented Congolese humorist Pie Tshibanda. Entitled “Un fou noir à Belgrade” (“A black madman in Belgrade”), the show drew an enthusiastic crowd in a packed hall, offering Belgrade audiences an unprecedented immersion in the richness and diversity of Congolese culture through the prism of humor.

The event was honored by the presence of His Excellency Joseph Kalala Mulamba, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo to Serbia, accompanied by several of his counterparts from the diplomatic corps accredited to Belgrade. This distinguished presence testified to the importance of this evening for the promotion of cultural exchanges between Serbia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as the vitality of the Francophonie in the region.

From the moment he appeared on stage, Pie Tshibanda captured the audience’s attention with his charismatic presence and boundless energy. His jokes, often inspired by his day-to-day life in the Democratic Republic of Congo, struck a chord with all ages and sensibilities, provoking laughter from the packed house.
